The Bishops Castle Community Land Trust was set up in 2007 to provide affordable rental homes for local people. It now has two maisonettes and work is being completed on the old Stars Shop to provide two more flats and a community shop. The first event for the Stars Shop will be as a hub for Bishops Castle Open Studios where locals, artists and visitors can come and find out what’s going on and what can be done to contribute – including the chance to put an autograph on a Sponsored Tile for the shop kitchen.
